In the first installment of Between Three Gals, three professional women talk candidly about mentors and mentoring and the benefits of having someone in your corner. Together, they will touch on how to find a mentor, the different types of mentor-mentee relationships and different situations they have experienced that were made better by having guidance from someone with a bevy of experience.
So, grab your cup o' Joe and join Stephanie Allen, Sohini Sengupta and Fee Sandoval (Moderator) for an intimate conversation followed by an Ask Me Anything session.
STEPHANIE ALLEN
Stephanie Allen’s eclectic career path has gone from coast to coast and back again. Five years ago she made the Central Coast her full-time home after living the majority of her adult life in either New York City or Los Angeles. Allen works professionally as a creative marketing strategist primarily for film. She was an award-winning senior executive at Fox Searchlight Pictures (2000-2010) and is currently an independent consultant.
In 2010 Allen left the full-time corporate world to earn an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts. She has a BA in creative writing and education. Her community work is focused on racial justice - especially with R.A.C.E. Matters SLO County (racemattersslo.org) - mentorship and the creative arts.
SOHINI SENGUPTA
Sohini Sengupta is an award-winning creative director of numerous theatrical and television advertising campaigns, including Birdman, 12 Years a Slave, Black Swan, Ex Machina, Dope, Sicario, Milk, Slumdog Millionaire and many others. At HBO, she and her team oversaw the campaigns for original programming, documentaries, and kids programming including Game Of Thrones, Westworld, Night Of, Sharp Objects, Big Little Lies, The Deuce, The Defiant Ones, Sesame Street and others. She has been on numerous panels including for SXSW, Promax Asia, and Toronto Film Festival. She has also creatively produced short films for Film Independent and ITVS along and most recently produced her first feature film that premiered at LAFF-Chee and T.
FELICIA SANDOVAL
Felicia “Fee” Sandoval is an award-winning creative executive with over 20 years in entertainment. Fee started her career in music and segued into television and film production before finding her way to entertainment marketing which she deems "the best of both worlds". Fee now serves as Senior Vice President - AV at Wild Card and resides in Los Angeles with the love of her life, one tiny human and one fur baby.
